We are pumped to bring you this tubular and gnarly 50th Birthday party we styled and planned recently—like totally!
Our amazing client wanted to bring out her fun, playful, and creative side for her husbands 50th birthday, so she recruited us to come up with an original theme party that was going to be truly unique and special. Per her request to come up with an 80’s-esque concept that also played into the Southern California beachside location of the private venue, we determined the perfect theme: “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”, aka “Fast Times at Greg’s 50th.” How amazing, right? Spicoli would have been STOKED to crash this party…
We can’t begin tell you how awesome this event was to plan. From the many custom-made decor pieces that were branded to display the slogan of the party, to our over-the-top “Soda Shack” bar with bartenders serving up the most incredible craft cocktails, to bright and colorful bite-sized desserts, to our playful reveal of the party theme via a life-size cardboard cutout of the birthday boy from his 80’s party days…this was a bash to remember!
Before we get into all the fun pictures and links to where you can find/shop these pieces, we also want to give a shout out to an incredible private chef, Josh Ferris, who cooked the guests gourmet meals around the clock during the epic birthday weekend. He’s based in CO, but travels 😉 Also contributing to the fun factor of the party was professional tarot card reader extraordinaire, Bianca Waxlax. Guests were treated to cosmic readings with a playful twist 😉
