Inspired by the winter wonderland that blankets a good chunk of the world outside of Southern California, and yearning for own little piece of snowy heaven, we decided to make “Hot Cocoa” Sugar Cookies this week in preparation for Christmas! These cookies are the best sugar cookies you’ll ever make and eat (thank you Katrina’s Kitchen!)…plus the recipe is simple and requires no chilling of the dough! They are soft and chewy with just the right amount of crunch and texture. We loved our mitten cookie cutter, and thought it was absolutely perfect and adorable to use for this recipe. To make our cookies festive and ready to dunk in a warm mug of hot chocolate, we dipped them in melted milk chocolate (we used candy melts found at Michaels’s and highly recommend) and decorated with teeny tiny marshmallows (that you’d find in hot chocolate packets!) and crushed peppermint candy cane pieces. Everyone from children to adults alike will not be able to resist these cuties…
Happy Holidays from the girls at sparkle + toast! Share your version of these cookies with us over on Instagram @sparkleandtoast, and let us see your photos!
