Toile & Cherries

We are so in love with the vintage charm and traditional style of Toile patterned china and serving ware. We scored these beautiful toile plates in a rusty red color, and the large blue platter last year at the North Park Flea Market (check out that blog post, here!), and have been using them here and there for home entertaining and work projects. We came up with the idea of pairing them with some vintage Americana themed accents such as gingham napkin ring holders and blue and white linen napkins. Light blue hydrangeas are among our favorite flowers in general, and they happen to work perfectly for this setting and bring something fresh and “from the garden” onto our table. We chose sweet cherries as a finishing touch for our table, and for a bold pop of color to really bring out the red in our Toile plates. This tablescape is perfect for serving  brunch, high tea, or an al fresco dinner party for your guests anytime of the year. We chose chocolate dipped biscotti cookies as a little something sweet to our table, but a freshly-made cherry pie would just perfect to serve with this theme (when in season)! If anyone has a favorite recipe to share, comment down below! We’re always in the mood for pie 😉
